Intercultural Training China - Japan for Hatebur Umformmaschinen AG

In the first week of January 2016 an intercultural training for service technicians of the company Hatebur was held in Reinach near Basel. The head of department of the service technicians, Christian Becker, organizes every year one week of further education for his men.  Since the service technicians work more than 200 days a year abroad, including many Asian destinations, the training was focused on a better understanding of the cultures of Japan and China with their Confucian background.

It was an interesting, interactive training, where lots of know-how was exchanged and knowledge has been built up

 

Intercultural awareness Trainings for Germans in Switzerland with Schmolz + Bickenbach Group

Since March 2015 more than 10 intercultural awareness training were held in Lucerne, where leaders from Germany were introduced to the subtle differences between Germany and Switzerland. The trainings were conducted in cooperation with the Schweizer Relocation GmbH for the company Schmolz + Bickenbach AG.

When Germans move to Switzerland, they act on the assumption, that everything is similar to their own culture. It has been shown that this assumption of equality can lead to big Trouble and irritations. The aim of the training is to point out the differences and peculiarities of Switzerland by theoretical and practical aspects. It helps to recognize subtle differences and to develop competences to deal with it - in order to cope life in Switzerland.

Intercultural awarness Training for Angolan students who came to study in Winterthur, Switzerland

On 16th July 2014 a Swiss Culture Training for "Future Leaders of Angola" took place in Zug. It was initiated by the sovereign wealth fund "Fundo Soberano" of Angola. Beat Fornaro of Unique Consulting GmbH entrusted Rahel Siegenthaler, owner of culturecoaching with the task to teach the Angolans all about Swiss culture, history, tradition and values to understand the difference between Switzerland and their own country Angola.

On 19th August 2014 in cooperation with ZHAW School of Management and Law, Department of International Business and Uniqua Consulting GmbH another Swiss Culture Training for "Future Leaders of Angola" took place. Rahel Siegenthaler, owner of culturecoaching lead the Angolans through the training. In the morning they learned about Swiss culture, history, tradition and values to understand the difference between Switzerland and their own country. In the afternoon they discovered the City of Winterthur in small groups by following the given instructions carefully.
